The Right of way of the South Penn Railroad was a section that ran between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on today's Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Bedford Springs Hotel, Bedford, Pennsylvania

The Bedford Springs Hotel was built in the late 1700's and not known to many is that the South Pennsylvania Railroad was planning a secret line from their main line to reach and pass by this resort. Many a President and Dignitaries spent vacation and business time at this resort.
